Getting to Sunol Regional Wilderness
I am usually coming from Interstate 680 south bound, and I take the Calaveras Road exit. Take Calaveras Road south until you take a left on Geary Road. For those who prefer, there is a Google map on the bottom of this page.
The Visitor Center for the Sunol Regional Wilderness is the meeting place for the Flag Hill and Little Yosemite hikes. When you enter the park, you must pay at a booth (shown below) in the middle of the road.
Shortly after the booth, there is a sign indicating a left turn into the parking lot that is closest to the meeting place. Park here if you can; otherwise, you can park a little ways down. While your looking for parking, make your presence known to the hike leader, so he or she knows to wait for you.
When you turn left, the first building you see may be the Sunol Interpretive HQ. I am not sure exactly what this building is, but I’ll show it here too because it is another useful landmark.
